Welcome to beautiful Lijiang! Be picked up and whisked away to LUX Lijiang Hotel in Dayan Old Town, Lijiang's largest UNESCO heritage old town. As the sun sets, gather with the rest of the group to learn more about the exciting adventures to come before savouring a traditional Naxi-style Welcoming Feast, your first taste of the region's hospitality.

After a hearty breakfast, set off for a peaceful stroll through the charming Yuhu Village. Dress up in traditional Naxi attire and immerse yourself in their culture through various engaging activities such as making Dongba paper, learning the ancient Dongba script and handcrafting tofu. In the afternoon, we spend time in a Naxi garden learning about these gifts of the earth and how to identify various herbs. Let your creativity loose as you craft your own herbal sachets and ointments from the garden, revelling in the beauty and bounty of mother nature.

Set off on a day trip to Shaxi Village, a key landmark and last surviving market on the ancient Tea Horse Road. Explore the picturesque streets including highlights such as Yujin Bridge, Sideng Square and Xinjiao Temple. Have a snack at the bistro where the famous TV series 'Where the wind blows' was filmed. Spend the afternoon at Jianchuan known for its intangible cultural heritage treasures, visiting workshops dedicated to traditional wood carving and pottery. Try your hand at creating your own clay cat, a symbol of Naxi. Return to Lijiang for dinner and an outdoor cinema experience at night.

In the morning, embark on a scenic excursion to the First Bend of the Yangtze River, where breathtaking views abound. Forage for wild mushrooms, learning how to identify the various types that grow in the hills and mountains around Lijiang. After a fulfilling morning, savour the local specialty of crossing-the-bridge noodles and take a leisurely stroll around Lashi Lake to unwind. Then, head back to Sangushui for a light hike along the Longdong River, soaking in the tranquility of the area. Partake in a delightful Naxi courtyard dinner and conclude the day and your time in Lijiang with a lively Naxi bonfire gathering, celebrating the spirit and warmth of the local culture.
